The Challenge
Keeping workforces healthy isn’t always easy
For many industries, musculoskeletal (MSK) injuries are a constant challenge, leading to rising costs, lost productivity, and compliance headaches. Occupational Accountable Care (OAC), a leader in occupational health solutions, knew that traditional pre-shift stretching routines weren’t enough. Employers needed a more structured, job-specific approach to injury prevention—one that could reduce claims, improve workforce health, and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
To tackle this challenge, OAC turned to Medbridge, integrating job-specific exercise programs into daily employee routines. The result? An 82 percent reduction in MSK claims, an 86 percent drop in total MSK spending, and an expanding program that now supports 3,000–4,000 employees across multiple employer sites.
The Solution
Medbridge Care Platform
OAC leveraged the Medbridge Care Platform to implement customized MSK care designed to seamlessly integrate into the workday. Rather than relying on one-size-fits-all programs, employees were given job-specific exercise regimens tailored to their unique injury risks. With this solution, OAC has been able to:
- Deliver tailored, standardized exercise programs available for use pre-shift, post-shift, and during breaks.
- Seamlessly implement the programs across employer sites. OTs and PTs conduct job analyses to tailor exercises for different roles, and programs are widely deployed digitally and in print to reach a large number of employees.
- Achieve regulatory and cost-saving advantages. The templated programs are structured as first aid rather than medical treatment, ensuring OSHA compliance. In addition, the programs have reduced claims and overall MSK-related spend.

“To stay in compliance with OSHA, you've really got to have your ducks in a row, and for us, Medbridge is key to that.”
